Shrek the musical...

WTF is wrong with the theatre these days... I thought we were getting a tiny bit of class when they kicked Cats' mangy butts off the stage but we've gone right from the frying pan, to the fire, to the seventh layer of hell...

Case in point, Shrek the musical. If you've eaten something you don't necessarily want to keep then I encourage you to observe with all binding disclaimers in place.

What kind of a depraved world are we living in where this kind of hideous, repellent, filth is met with cheers and adulation? I'm feeling a bit schizophrenic right now... Part of me wants to get into the theatre so badly, and the other part wants to chain the doors shut and burn the place down during a matinee.
